This series of 50 sonnets, written during 2010 -2011 and revised since, explore the way new meaning in thought and insight is woven because of the relationship between inner and outer awareness.

The underlying understanding, with linkage to Tibetan
Buddhist thought, is that consciousness is the overlap
between two dimensions or 'worlds', and creativity and
inspired, generative action springs out of this relationship
in ourselves:

“.. creativity is... ultimately the action of the infinite in the
sphere of the finite -”

David Bohm, from 'Soma-Significance and the Activity of Meaning'

Here are some endorsements:
“Diana Durham takes the sonnet form and turns it into something fluid as well as fluent, for a contemporary world that (as I said in my own Fourteen Lines for Britain) does
not rhyme. She does this with her inimitable penetrative clarity that 'sees through' the world and the larger and invisible currents of energy that are part of this great change we are witnessing. She mirrors the collective psyche, reinventing the content as something more transpersonal than subjective, touching on what concerns us all.”

--Jay Ramsay, author of Kingdom of the Edge, Moments, described by Caduceus magazine as “England’s foremost transformation poet.”

'I love the language richness, the flow of the lines ... makes me want to read them over and over.'

--Alice B Fogel, author of Be That Empty, I Love This Dark World, recipient of the NEA Individual Artists Fellowship, Poet Laureate of New Hampshire.

“Beautiful - your work speaks to me.”

--Iain McGilchrist, author of The Master & His Emissary: The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World

I always thought I'd write novels, but poems and non-fiction came first.  So I am excited about the publication of my first novel.  In the end, fiction captures reality more than explanations about it ...
